Michael Pollard

Michael Pollard grew up and spent his childhood riding in Tryon, USA.  He caught the eye of many in the eventing world in 1999, when as a young rider he was shortlisted for the Pan-American games with a horse called Perryfield's Max.

It is with the off the track thoroughbred, Icarus, that Pollard has found his most recent success, including runs at Rolex Kentucky and Burghley.  Pollard took over the ride on the striking grey in 2008, after the horse had been campaigned by Pollard's wife Natalie and Will Coleman.

Natalie is also a top level eventer and a former Young Rider Champion.  Michael and Natalie have 3 children.  The pair run a training, coaching and breeding business out of Chatsworth in the USA.  When not riding, Michael also manages the family business
