The Pelham – Using a variety of pressures, the Mullen Pelham is an incorporation of the Weymouth and bradoon, and should theoretically be used with 2 reins, the first rein attached to the snaffle rein, and the second rein attached to the ring at the bottom of the shank, when the first rein is used the Pelham acts like a hanging cheek snaffle, putting slight pressure on the poll and whilst using even pressure across the tongue. Once the curb rein is engaged the leverage and lip pressure are increased as well as activating the curb chain. The greater the shank length the more leverage is applied.
The Butterfly mouthpiece – is an total innovation with regards of mouthpieces. The anatomically correct form combined with a broader bearing surface in the area of the tongue, which offers this important and sensitive muscle, optimal space with a very soft influence at the same time. The horse shows their well being with more chewing activity and an increased acceptance of the bit.
Bits of loving care – Bits that offer flexibility! Handmade in Germany
In developing the Beris bits they are continuously tested and approved by both professional and amateur riders. The manufacturing knowledge combined with the riders experience and demands allows for improvements and enhancements of their bit making technology. Beris Bits main focus, apart from using ‘State of the Art’ materials, is in protecting the extremely sensitive horse’s mouth. All the mouth pieces are made using food-grade plastic and each metal piece is formed, welded and polished by hand. The Beris bits provide special tension control due to form and material, this leads to better acceptance by the horse and therefore a smoother communication between horse and rider.
